World's first fully antimicrobial classroom secured by SALTO When it comes to the health of young children at school, a mild upset tummy for a day or two may just be a nuisance but what if exposure to unhealthy microbes were to cause more serious illness. To help reduce the risk of this, the school has chosen to apply BioCote's antimicrobial technology to most surfaces in one of its classrooms to actively reduce levels of microbes, helping the room to stay fresh, clean and hygienic.

WINSTED Sponsors: GSOC for the Future of Modern Enterprise WEBINAR

At the center of an organization's security operation stands its nucleus, one of the most important pieces for overall functionality: the global security operations center (GSOC). But that can look different based on goals, budget and overall vision. However, one commonality remains: the GSOC is where a variety of systems and solutions come together to provide a singular operational picture, mitigate threats and promote enhanced communication during an incident.

FLIR: Top Perimeter Security Trends for Critical Infrastructure

FLIR: Top Perimeter Security Trends for Critical Infrastructure

Airports, power plants, and data centers house mission-critical assets essential to everyday life. Without adequate physical security, these operations are at risk of intrusion and sabotage. The shutdown of any one of these critical infrastructure facilities would affect hundreds of thousands of people.

Securing these entities from a physical breach starts by protecting the perimeter. While critical infrastructure sites pose their challenges for perimeter intrusion detection systems, new technologies, and solution integrations are addressing these pain points and enabling better detection, deterrence, and real-time response in the case of a threat.

Here are six trending technologies amplifying perimeter security for critical infrastructure:
